Now I don’t personally think of Trapper’s as being located on south-side but to each their own, I suppose. Aside from the location/curb appeal part, I thorougly enjoyed reading this review and hope you all do as well. It goes to show that hard work does pay off! Now without further ado…
THE Bourbon Bar in OKC – a south side surprise!

As a whiskey/bourbon lover, I have been meaning to get down to Trapper’s, as I heard they had a decent selection of the spirit. However, the south city location is not convenient for me and the opportunity just had not presented itself for a visit. We finally made it a point to get down there and joined another couple. First, the location is “sketch” off of Reno in south OKC. Second, the curb appeal is a bit questionable. All of that said – Trapper’s exceeded my expectations not only in their whiskey/bourbon offering, but in the food execution. There is another establishment in OKC with Whiskey in their title who I thought may have the best selection of whiskey/bourbon – while theirs is good, Trapper’s had bottles I have never seen there! If you are looking to try a bottle you probably are not going to find in the local liquor store, this is worth a visit. I will note they have all American products, but that was fine with me! Now – the food. The menu is broad, with seafood, common fare and then unusual offerings as alligator, etc… Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS and better than expected. The shrimp was presented and tasted exceptional, the grilled alligator appetizer had just enough gaminess and spice and the blackened tuna and squash Rockefleller was spot-on. Honestly, this visit was over-due and we will drive out of our way to return sooner than later. Trapper’s is THE Bourbon Bar in OKC – a south side surprise!!!
As stated earlier, aside from location nod this review is spot on. Everyone has worked tirelessly to make The Bourbon Bar one of the top places to go to for Bourbon/Whiskey here in OKC. Our variety is uncomparable to anything we have seen. The dedication shown by our General Manager Scott Snow does not go without recognition. Those rare bottles you see in our stores are because of his diligence in working with any an all liquor reps near and far. The Bourbon Bar wouldn’t be what it is if it wasn’t a team effort by our CEO Paul Seikel, President/COO Steve Griffin, as already mention above: GM Scott Snow, AGM Ryan Barr, even down to the decor/function of the bar itself with our Interior Designer/Owner Linda Seikel and many others within the company as well. We are proud of what he have built and can’t wait to continue building it and making it bigger and better for all to enjoy. So if you haven’t stopped by to check out our awesome Bourbon Bar that features over 150 different bourbons then come on down and order a flight (3 picks of bourbon) today and see what all the buzz is about. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
